What is BOTOX?
BOTOX is a FDA approved, nonsurgical cosmetic procedure that is injected into the skin to relax the underlying muscles that cause wrinkles. The most common injection sites are on the forehead, around the eyebrows, and on the sides of the eyes, commonly known as crows feet. BOTOX combats the signs of aging by creating a softer, smoother skin appearance and diminishing wrinkles. BOTOX is created by Botulinum toxin type A and is safe and effective to use for the treatment of wrinkles. Our dermatology office uses BOTOX for an aesthetic improvement and excessive sweating. BOTOX lasts for about 3-4 months. Those seeking BOTOX for underarm sweating should expect results to last up to 6 months.
The best candidates for BOTOX are those who are unhappy with the facial wrinkles in the upper portion of the face or those who suffer from excessive sweating under the arms. Those suffering from excessive sweating can be treated as early as age 18. BOTOX is suitable for anyone seeking a nonsurgical approach to rejuvenated skin.
"Tammi Dobbs is very attentive and sweet. She really listens to what you have to say always gives options in treatment rather than pushing one. She is by far the best dermatologist I've gone to."- L.B. / Google / Sep 01, 2015

"Went in on 11-7-2017 for follow up checkup. PA Bailey performed it. Scheduled for 9:00 AM. Was called in at 8:58. No wait!PA Bailey did thorough exam and found several "barnacles". She explained that they were precancerous and froze them with liquid nitrogen. This was the first time that I had a good explanation of what was important and what was cosmetic.I had had a Mhos surgery several years ago, and had an exam a year ago by DR Barrows. In both cases the dialog centered on a skin cancer or something that needed biopsy.I feel good about the exam and the removal of growths on this visit. We all get warts and barnacles after we turn 50. This office does a good job of keeping them from being cancerous.I used the restroom in the waiting area. There is a placard with both male and female symbols. It is a one holer with no urinal and a lockable door. I guess this covers males, females, trans genders, Bis, and not sure. Added this comment because of the question after the comment section.I recommend this practice for all seniors with sun exposure."- L.B. / Yelp / Nov 08, 2017
"Dr. Barrows, Ms. Rachel and staff have unequivocally brought me out of a exhausting self loathing State of mind from a hereditary facial issue that I attempted to self resolve for years. Dr. Barrows straightforwardness and Ms.Rachel's empathy with after care has been invaluable. I am extremely thankful.."- D.C. / Google / Sep 18, 2017

What to Expect
After a BOTOX injection, patients can expect some minor swelling and redness at the injection sites. This goes away quickly and is generally not noticeable within about an hour after the treatment. Exercise should be avoided or limited within the first 24 hours. The results following a BOTOX treatment are not immediate. It generally takes about 7 days for patients to see results. Our patients love their results so much, many come back every quarter to get reinjected so that they can maintain their gorgeous results.
