Leonard “Ace” Acevedo is a certified Physician Assistant and has been practicing all aspects of clinical dermatology since 2013. He sees patients in two locations, Addison and Denton. He focuses on early detection of skin cancer and diagnosing, rashes, acne, and other dermatologic conditions. His training under a Mohs surgeon has given him a strong skill set in removals of various skin conditions with minimal scarring. He is passionate about educating each patient and together developing a treatment plan.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Ace graduated from University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth with a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Tech University in Social Work and Substance Abuse Studies. His early career also included being an active member of the United States Air Force serving as an emergency medical technician while stationed at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas. Clinical Dermatology marries his background in social issues, emergency medicine, and his natural curiosity to learn the root cause of a patient’s condition.
