Matt Shertzer

Laboratory Manager

Matt Shertzer, HT(ASCP)^CM, has been in the field of Histology (the study of the microscopic structure of tissues) since 2001 and certified as a Histology Technician since 2003. Matt has worked in laboratory management for the majority of his career, in positions ranging from Lead Histology Technician to Laboratory Manager. He comes to Dermatology & Skin Cancer Surgery Center with detailed experience in all aspects of histology and now he focuses his skills on providing quick turnaround times and delivering the highest quality of patient care. Matt currently serves as the President of the Texas Society for Histotechnology and a Delegate for the National Society for Histotechnology.

• College of American Pathologists

When Matt is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is also an avid Dallas sports fan and roots for all the local teams.
